Auburn's Triboflow products utilize proven triboelectric technology, invented by Auburn International nearly twenty-five years ago. The technology is EPA tested and recognized for MACT and CAM compliance. Products range from basic bag leak detection to plant wide, networked monitoring systems that consolidate up to 512 points at one PC.

An Introduction to Triboelectric Measurement

As dust particles collide with a probe, they generate a charge transfer. This is referred to as frictional electrification. Triboflow products detect the signal created by the changes in particulate concentration, as in the onset of a bag leak, and activate operational functions such as alarms, relays and/or data logs. Unlike optical devices that rely on clean, aligned lenses and the indirect measurement of light transmission, Triboflow products are a virtually maintenance-free, direct method of bag leak detection. Auburn devices can detect baseline signals as low as 0.005 mg/m3 in dust collector emissions.

Auburn's Product Line:

Tribolink System TriboLink™ and MiniLink™ Network Monitoring Systems

These PC-based network systems offer an economical and powerful alternative to PLC's for monitoring, data acquisition and reporting for maintenance management programs and particulate emissions monitoring required by MACT standards and Title V CAM Rule. Designed specifically for dust collector parametric monitoring, up to 512 points can be monitored (particulate emissions, differential pressure, temperature, etc.). Basic TriboLink and MiniLink building blocks are combined to meet a variety of applications and configuration needs.

TRIBO.dgdContinuous Emissions Monitor

TRIBO.dgdTM   is the first all-digital and dual channel dust collector monitoring system for real-time bag leak detection, specifically designed for the small baghouse. It features an all-digital, wide dynamic range, digital signal processor (DSP) operating system, eliminating the need to manually set monitoring ranges, also eliminating the need for periodic auto-zeroing. This newest addition to our TRIBO.series product line is a multifunction dust emissions monitoring system. It simultaneously monitors selected parameters permitting; i.e. velocity, differential pressure, motor amps, in addition to bag leak detection and location. TRIBO.dgdTM   also incorporates control features enabling it to function as a process controller, such as for on-demand cleaning cycle activation. Incorporating proprietary auburn.dgdTM software, the TRIBO.dgdTM   is an exceptionally powerful monitoring system. It is capable of providing advanced diagnostic and analytical features designed to simplify increasingly complicated dust collector management and control tasks.

TRIBO.d2Two-wire (loop powered), 4-20mA output, emissions monitor
The TRIBO.d2 combined with a TRIBO.dgd or PLC for power and signal processing is an economical monitoring solution for installations with large numbers of compartments.  It is easy to install, simple to use, and requires no field set-up. When combined with the TRIBO.trac Leak Locator or TRIBO.prevent Dual Alarm System it will function as a monitoring system to provide useful information for collector maintenance management. In addition to emissions applications, the TRIBO.d2 is suitable for process flow applications.
Triboguard II Triboguard® II Bag Leak Detector and Dust Monitor

The Triboguard II Continuous Particulate Emissions Monitor detects filter failures and monitors exhaust ducts. The Triboguard II has 0-100% bar graph and 4-20mA analog output, as well as user-friendly controls. Pre-Vent Dual Alarm System and relay output are optional. Available in both Remote Sensor (NEMA 4/7/9) or Integral Sensor (NEMA 4) window front enclosures. CE Approved. CSA Approval pending.

Triboguard I Triboguard® I Bag Leak Detector

The Triboguard I Broken Bag Detector monitors exhaust ducts to detect filter failures and includes relay contact output and user-friendly controls. Available in both Remote Sensor (NEMA 4/7/9) or Integral Sensor (NEMA 4) enclosures. Optional window front enclosure is also available. CE Approved. CSA Approval pending.

TriboSentry™ Basic Bag Leak Detector

The TriboSentry is a simplified triboelectric device designed to detect failures of dust collector bags and filters. Offered at low cost, TriboSentry justifies bag leak detection for even the smallest nuisance-type collectors. Upon the detection of particulate emissions, TriboSentry trips an LED indicator, alerting of a dust collector event. TriboSentry is an inexpensive solution to reduce clean-up costs and ensure environmental compliance.

Pre-Vent System Pre-Vent™ Dual Alarm System

Pre-Vent Dual Alarm System provides remote early warning and high level (reportable incident) warning by comparing setpoints with 4-20mA analog output of emissions levels from any Auburn triboelectric monitor.

Tribotrac System Tribotrac® Dust Leak Locator System

The Tribotrac Dust Leak Locator System pinpoints the compartment or row where a filter failure has occurred when used with any Auburn 4-20mA analog output particulate emissions monitor. Tribotrac provides both early warning and reportable incident alarms and has an adjustable 0-10 minute time delay to prevent false alarming. Tribotrac is an optional feature in TriboLink Network Monitoring System.
